Flying Fish Swim School in Wayne, Nebraska!
Below is an update from Alison Devilder who has started the program at her school in Nebraska!
Gabby,
We are in our second week of swimming lesson and the kids are loving it, I'm really excited they are having so much fun. I have attached some pictures of the students and swim instructors. If you would like anything else please let me know.
Thanks,
Allie
The Flying Fish Swim School in Wayne, Ne is in its second week of lessons. So far we are working individually with four students, each student has their own lesson planned designed for their specific need.
Jess-Is working with Jessica and Katie, he is really excited for each lesson and Jessica and Katie are excited to work with him. He does things such as shooting basketballs in the water and activities that help him move his legs.
Cory-Is working with Danielle and Aleece, he also is excited for each lesson and he loves jumping off the side of the pool. His swim instructors are working with him to make sure he uses safety around the water, and are also working with him on kicking his feet.
GW-Is working with Jamie, at first GW did not want to get into the water, but by the end of the first lesson he was excited to come back. Right now Jamie is working on bobs(putting your head under the water), kicking, front crawl strokes, and jumping off the side of the pool.
Mora-Is working with me on swim technique. So far we have worked on front crawl and back crawl, kicking, and breathing to the side, instead of lifting her head up. Next week we are going to work on Breaststroke kick and maybe introduce the stroke. Mora really wants to swim for the Wayne Swim Team and hopefully by the end of the lesson she will be on her way to doing that.
